Future Makers Kigali is a six-month youth digital entrepreneurship programme designed to equip young post-secondary graduates in Rwanda with practical digital skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and hands-on innovation experience. Delivered by Westerwelle Foundation through Westerwelle Startup Haus Kigali supported by United Internet for UNICEF Foundation, the programme prepares participants to thrive in Rwanda’s growing digital economy while building solutions to real community challenges.

The programme combines practical skills training, design thinking, hackathon participation, incubation support, mentorship, and seed funding opportunities, with a strong commitment to gender inclusion through a minimum 50% women participation target at every stage.

Requirements

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1-Be 18–22 years old at the time of application.
2-Be a post-secondary graduate based in Kigali, Rwanda.
3-Demonstrate interest in digital skills, entrepreneurship, innovation, or problem-solving.
4-Show motivation to learn and actively participate in an intensive skills development programme.
5-Have access to a laptop or digital device to fully engage in programme activities.
6-Be available to commit to the full programme duration and actively participate in trainings, workshops, and programme activities.
7-Be willing to dedicate approximately 6–8 hours per week during the training phase and 4–6 hours per week during the incubation phase.
8-Women applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as the programme is committed to maintaining at least 50% women representation across all programme stages.
