Call for application for Afretec short courses The University of Rwanda (UR) is a member of African Engineering and Technology Network Universities (AFRETEC) by Carnegie Mellon University-Africa with other leading universities in Africa (University of Nairobi, The American University in Cairo, University of the Witwatersrand, University of Lagos, Al Akhawayn University, Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar) and Agostinho Neto University(Luanda, Angola) and supported by the Mastercard Foundation.AFRETEC aims to drive inclusive digital growth through higher education and the power of collaboration. Technology-focused universities from across the continent work together to build engineering and technology. Through this program, University of Rwanda is organizing trainings for future skills in emerging technology fields thus University of Rwanda wishes to invite all interested university finalists, graduates, lecturers and other industry professionals to apply for the following fully sponsored short courses to be delivered at the University of Rwanda: o AI and Data Analytics taking place from 4th May 2026 to 29th May 2026 o Cyber security taking place from 4th May 2026 to 29th May 2026 o Web development short course using current frameworks such as Django, Angular, Laravel, React taking place from 4th May 2026 to 29th May 2026
