Jasiri is backing the next generation of builders across Ethiopia, Kenya and Rwanda.
Cohort 9 is Jasiri's first sector-focused cohort, anchored in food systems, and applications are now open. Jasiri backs exceptional people before the venture exists. There is no idea to pitch and no team to present. The venture is built from scratch during the programme.
The programme is looking for people with real depth in their field, whether in software, hardware, science, data, finance, operations or sales, with the work to show for it. People who have built before, sold to customers, and put their own time and money on the line. A food systems background is not required. Sector knowledge can be learned.
Selected fellows receive a venture creation grant of USD 28,000 disbursed in milestone-gated tranches, up to USD 3,000 to prototype and test their solution, a fully covered three-month Residential Intensive in Kigali, hands-on venture builders and coaches, and shared workspaces in Kigali, Nairobi and Addis Ababa.
Applications close 12 October 2026 and are reviewed on a rolling basis, so applying early is encouraged.
