Thank you for your interest in participating in the Regional Conference of Youth (RCOY) Africa 2026, taking place in Accra, Ghana, from 18-21 October 2026.
Background
The Regional Conference of Youth (RCOY) is the official regional edition of the Conference of Youth (COY), convened ahead of the annual United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP). It serves as Africa's premier youth climate platform, bringing together young leaders, policymakers, researchers, innovators, civil society organizations, Indigenous Peoples, entrepreneurs, and development partners to strengthen regional collaboration, build technical capacity, and amplify African youth priorities within the global climate process.
RCOY Africa builds upon the outcomes and recommendations emerging from the Local Conferences of Youth (LCOYs) organized across African countries. It provides a regional platform to consolidate national youth perspectives into a unified African youth position that contributes to the global youth agenda and informs engagement at COP31.
The theme for RCOY Africa 2026 is:
"Driving Integrated Solutions Across Africa's Climate Agenda for Impact, Resilience and Justice."
